Empower Talent Consulting was founded by an experienced consulting and talent acquisition/staffing professional and a team of proven and top notch consulting and talent strategy & acquisition experts. Francis Foo

Managing Director/CEO

As the pioneer, Francis spearheads the management and business operations of Empower Talent Consulting. Over the last 18 months, he established more than 50 new clients for the company.

Francis was previously for 7 years, the Operations Director for one of the largest and market leader in a workforce solution company in Malaysia. He led the country’s delivery operations in consulting, executive recruitment and contingent staffing business; his business operation portfolio and responsibilities included but not limited to Executive Recruitment, Foreign Talent Solutions, RPO/Managed Services, and strategic client services. Francis first joined the firm to establish the professional and executive resourcing for both permanent and interim placement services, where at peak topping RM11 million in annual business revenue.

Overall, Francis was responsible for an annual business turnover of more than RM150 Million in his last corporate assignment. Francis played a major role in securing and delivering significant businesses for his previous company such as:

  • Managed Services for one of the largest global outsourcing and IT services company – RM21 million revenue in first year
  • RPO Services for one the largest bank in Malaysia and for one of largest logistic/courier company – assist to recruit 200 IT staffs within 4 months
  • Talent Base Outsourcing for one of largest global IT and BPO services company. This was first and largest in-country TBO business (RM5 million revenue per year)
  • Foreign Talent Acquisition for one of the largest global outsourcing and IT service company – recruited 150 foreign nationals within 1 week
  • Professional Permanent Recruitment Service for a large foreign bank’s regional HUB in Malaysia (recruited highly specialized ICT; RM2 million in permanent placement revenue)

Francis spends his time mentoring, grooming and developing consultants’ capabilities in this consulting and talent-acquisition service arena.

Prior joining the recruitment industry, Francis served in different capacities as Country Manager, Director and General Manager in both global and regional multinational companies. He has more than 20 years’ experience in establishing and managing IT BPO/Outsourcing services business, CRM consulting and professional services. As services being his core expertise, he had personally recruited more than 1000 professionals in the ICT and services industry.

Francis attended tertiary education in England and the USA, and possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology. He was regularly featured in the Dean’s List and gained admission to the National Honors Society for academic excellence.

Anu P

Senior Consultant, Consulting & Talent Acquisition

Anu is a talent acquisition and recruitment professional with a successful track record of placements for executive to leadership roles. She has extensive experience in talent hunting, market mapping and niche skill hiring in the verticals across industries.

Anu is our firm’s top talent acquisition and recruitment consultant. She has an excellent record in placement of mid-level to C-level executives (CFOs, Senior VPs, Managers and Senior Managers etc.). Her market mapping skill/experience is one of the best in the industry.

Additionally, she has a strong background in sales, business development, and key account management. Experienced in handling the entire talent and recruitment life cycle, including defining hiring management needs with business stakeholders, sourcing across resourcing channels and effective closure of open positions.

Previously, she has front ended an RPO, during her stint with one of the leading global workforce solution companies and was recognized for her contribution towards its successful roll out and implementation. She has received recognition on numerous occasions for exceeding defined targets and operational excellence.

She possesses a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree; completed her Masters’ Degree in Business Administration.

Ann NZ

Senior Consultant, Consulting & Talent Acquisition

Ann is an extremely high energy professional with an infectious passion for recruitment with more than 8 years of experience across a diverse array of business domains.

Previously, lead business operations in Malaysia consisting various industries. Recruited top-notch talents in capital market, Risk/Order & Compliance, product control & business change in banking sectors.

In the earlier years, Ann gained tremendous recruitment experience in recruiting both local and foreign talent for her clients; her core focus areas are customer services, sales & marketing, and other executive functional roles.

With Empower Talent Consulting, Ann specializes in the talent acquisition and recruitment of mid to senior level of professionals within the Malaysian market covering variety of high-profile clients, which include listed and multinational companies as well as small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) to Shared Services.

J Guna

Senior Consultant, Consulting & Talent Acquisition

J comes with more than 5 years of focused experience in successfully delivering Technical ICT Recruitment, general IT staffing and Executive Recruitment. He has handled as many as 100 different type of roles and not limited to software development to support and test role to senior level project management roles for IT, Banking, ITES, Insurance and Engineering clients. He has helped customers as many as 20 MNC companies to hire candidates regionally and Indian Markets.

Apart from sourcing and helping clients hire best resources, he also works with the client to help them understand the market information, salary negotiation to on boarding.

Lee has had more than 20 years’ experience in technical resources planning and acquisition, development and management in IT, office automation, building and infrastructure electronics industries

Before association our firm, Lee worked with major Multi-National and local companies such as Philips, Pan Global, Wang Computers, Davotek/Teledata, and Dataware etc.

Lee always believes that talent is key to every business to compete in the business world. He was personally involved in selecting and hiring the best talent his own operations and his clients. He focuses on both IT/Technical and “Executive” talent hunting and recruitment.

Professionally Lee is an electronics engineer; graduated from TAR University College.
